The Forgotten Champions League Tie

[footygamer.co.uk] Manchester United, AS Monaco, Ajax, and reigning champions Liverpool are amongst the sides involved in European ties on Tuesday and Wednesday night. Sold Trafford by Phil Holland

http://paperprofessor.blogspot.com [scruples] Glazer must tread carefully if he is to avoid the collapse of Manchester United. Gazing into the Football Crystal Ball

[diaspora] As the English Premiership beckons, my memories of nights spent bleary-eyed watching Manchester United conquer all in their reign through the nineties stir in me the urge to blog something deep and insightful on the coming season and all that is right and wrong with football. This urge, which is strong and primal like the need to piss on the toilet seat, subsides when I realize I have not watched a single minute of Premiership soccer for 12 months.

Guus Hiddink

[The Thin Line] Hiddink, a dutchman, has twice taken teams to the World Cup semi-finals: the Netherlands in 1998 and, more remarkably, South Korea in 2002. He has now been charged with enormous task of guiding Australia into the 2006 World Cup, which means overcoming the fifth placed South American qualifier in November, assuming Australia first manages to beat the Solomon Islands in September.
