From Businessman to World Cup Referee (donga.com)
[ FIFA World Cup Updates] It began as a hobby, but it led him on to the World Cup grounds. Kim Dae-yeong (age 44), the only Korean to referee in the 2006 FIFA Germany World Cup, took part as an assistant referee in the third-place play-off match between Germany and Portugal.

The White Caps coming downtown?
[Metroblogging Vancouver] Plus if the Whitecaps aren't exhiled out in Burnaby they might start drawing bigger crowds, which would be nice. It'll also be a nice venue when Vancouver hosts larger soccer/football events like the upcoming FIFA under-20 World Cup in 2007.

USA still alive after 1-1 tie with Italy
[SRSoccer.com - Part of the Scores Report Blog Network] After looking like a second-rate squad in their opener against the Czech Republic, the Americans came back strong with a sprited effort against an Italian team that looked fantastic in its opening match. The Americans were able to frustrate the Italian side by working loading up the midfield and playing very aggressively, constantly fouling the Italians.
