Beauty and the Beasts
[Chelsea Football Club Blog] But a week after surviving Fergies ferocious fire, José Mourinho flew straight into the frying pan of our overnight football experts whose feast of uppity giggles soundly outed him as a clown moonlighting as football manager. Reading the football pages after Chelsea lost to Liverpool in the FA Cup semi-final at Old Trafford, one got the unmistakable impression that the nation had unearthed such abundant pearls of coaching and managerial talents hitherto wasting away at the sports desks of our newspaper houses, TV and radio stations.

[Mgeg.blogspot.com] Missed Goals and Empty Glasses: I see 6 clubs whom we will never compete with financially yet one of those, Spurs, has made strides this season following a fair few signing from the Championship (Fatty Reid not included), there's no reason we can't implement that same scouting and signing policy, especially as our youth system hasn't produced a regular first-teamer probably since John Fortune.
[Eil.com] eil.com/esprit Rare record, CD & Memorabilia Buyer's blog: Superb Sales Awards: Hi everyone, have just arrived from another South American buying trip and I'm very happy to bring very good news to everyone as have found some very nice stuff mainly on vinyl, my favourites that are going to be hitting very shorlty our system are a couple of Colombian Marc Bolan LP's, which are the T-Rex Bolan Boggie and the Great Hits, both in unplayed condition! On colured vinyl, you will be able to get items from a variety of of artists, such as a Queen on Ice-Blue 12" or a Shakin' Stevens 12" on yellow vinyl, have just re-stocked the very last copies of the Madonna 'Confessions on the Dance Floor' colombian posters and a new set of mirror christmas baubles...now that we are on Madonna and before I forget to mention, there are some beautiful december 2005 Rolling Stone Magazines with Madonna on cover, unfortuantelly was able to grab very few of them (obviously from Colombia too), so will have to move fast...more from me soon.
[Pekingduck.org] The Peking Duck: Did you know the Chinese invented soccer?: Its funny then how you will read how the combination game of passing and running was perfected by Preston North End in England, they had eight Scots in their team! You will read that the Brazilians learnt football from the English (no they didnt: Archie McLean was from Paisley near Glasgow) or that England invented football.
[Robbooth.net] Slightly Rough: He worked on his father's farm before enlisting in the U.S Navy as Mess Attendant, Third Class, at Dallas, Texas, on 16 September 1939, to travel, and earn money for his family. He later was commended by the Secretary of the Navy, was advanced to Mess Attendant, Second Class and First Class, and subsequently was promoted to Ship's Cook, Third Class.
[Steve.anthropiccollective.org] Steve Lawson: May 2005 Archives: It was fun to play a slightly longer set, and get to play a couple of old tunes I haven't played for a while - Highway One, and No More Us And Them, as well as a couple of new tunes - one slow country-ish thing so far called 'What Happens When You Listen To Too Much Gillian Welch Late At Night' (subject to change), and another untitled one, dedicated to Eric Roche a great friend and genius musician, going through a bit of a rough patch. (speaking of Eric, he's playing at The Troubadour in Earl's Court tonight, and is unmissably good - please go along and support him, you'll thank me afterwards.)
