Let's talk about MLS attendance
[Ramblings of a Soccer Junky] Yeah, you'll get more people at any sporting event with fireworks (MLB has known this for years) but with the smaller stadiums being built, the only way teams in LA, Columbus, Dallas and Chicago will be able to benefit from better attendance with fireworks is if they bump prices for the single game as they won't have thousands of empty seats to fill.
Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.
[Bigsoccer.com] BigSoccer Boards - Attendance?#@!: To tie this all back into the Rapids attendance plight, I'm sure I'm stating the obvious, but I think the numbers, whether you're in England, the U.S. or outer Mongolia, all hinge on the product on the field (at least entertaining if not winning), and the FOs dedication in pushing their "product" and getting buy in from not only the hardcore fan, but the fringe as well (grassroots?) It just ain't happening here.
[Marksavage.net] marksavage.net: Since nobody wants to develop this blog feature for Mambo any more than it .She's even offered to have a friend pick me up from the airport in Milan, .
[Sportsfrog.com] The Sports Frog -- We're riding the bus with your sister.: Long-time Columbus Dispatch columnist Bob Hunter wrote about the idea a few days ago, which means someone in the inner-circle in Columbus is probably talking about it. And now Knight has apparently indicated he would listen if OSU came calling.
