You'll never walk alone

[maobi] And the loser is? Silvio Berlusconi. Other losers? Roman Abramovich and Jose Maurinho. (share the medal please) All these folks love to bloviate on the back of their teams victories. Not this time. Liverpool smacked them down. This is Anfield folks and Jerzy Dudek (useless piece of ........ finally delivered the silverware) became a hero for once in his life...

Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.

[Adventures in Dubai] Come On You Reds!: That company was owned by a great man, Sir John Moores. Mr John (as he was known by us plebs), pretty much owned Liverpool FC. He also had a holding in Everton. None of this was Malcolm Glazer-ish, it was just supporting the community that had helped you become a gazillionaire (Sir John was the richest bloke in Britain at that time, but not affected by it).

[Suz Blog] From the other side of the world: How exciting and he wants news from London. Today of all days there's nothing on the News except football. Liverpool seems to be at a standstill. Sad state of affairs that all the UK news channels have nothing better to report on, hour by hour - but I suppose it has been 20 years since they last won (not something I knew but I've just been told).

[neil writes the blog] Hunting Highs And Lows: Low: After 9 months, 37 games and 87 minutes, my football team, the mighty Glasgow Celtic, were only a matter of minutes away from securing their 4th Scottish championship in 5 years. Three minutes later, they’d conceded 2 goals and handed the title to their bitterest rivals Rangers. This calamity was almost on a par with Friday’s pizza trauma and I can only thank the Lord that there is no wife, child or pet in my life to bear the brunt of the wrath and mayhem that ensued.

[LEVELHEAD.org] Liverpool and the Champions League: La Liga, just as the Premiership, sends four clubs to the Champions League. As a result of their Champions League title, Real Madrid was sent back to the competition the following year while Real Zaragoza, who rightfully should have been in the Champions League, was sent to Europe’s second-biggest club competition, the UEFA Cup. (As an aside, some folks - mainly Zaragoza fans - believe that sending Real Zaragoza to the UEFA Cup, accompanied by the loss of prestige and all-important money, led directly to their relegation two years later.)

[Blogfc.com] blogfc.com - the football blog » 2003 » March: After France’s World Cup win in 1998 Houllier’s position as Technical Director of the French Football Federation was at and end. He then began talking other clubs and in today’s Sun he says “It is no secret I was approached by Celtic. But I made another choice to come to Liverpool instead and I have never regretted that”.

[Blogfc.com] blogfc.com - the football blog » The Rumourphile 10th March 2003: Right folks, you can call me The Rumourphile. A man in the know, with inside info from a wide range of sources. Every so often, I’ll compile the best bits from all the gossip, overheard conversations and leaked documents I get my grubby little hands on.

[Evertonblogcouk.blogspot.com] Everton Blog - Everton FC - fan's weblog about Everton Football ...: Everton Football Club fan's weblog. Everton Blog has no official connection with Everton FC; content is based upon opinions & feelings.

[Evertonblogcouk.blogspot.com] Everton Blog - Everton FC - fan's weblog about Everton Football ...: You regret leaving this great football club and I can tell by your body language that you are NOT HAPPY at that shite football team. I learnt a song about your missus at Aston Villa and I've been singing it since every day in the shower It has helped me and my son realise that although you are a great footballer you are just a small wheel in a very large Cog. And you are a very silly boy if you thought that Everton wouldn't come good. This time next year you'll be at Real Madrid because I know Loyalty means nothing to you and your shit agent will go as soon as you've had a good World cup you will regret leaving this club for the rest of your life.

[Portsmouth.blog-city.com] Liverpool Away (portsmouth.blog-city.com): They look cheery enough in this picture, to be sure, but that was before Pompey got promoted. Regular readers will know that Mrs Sunshine's folks are from the red half of Liverpool, and spent years laughing at the soft lad who married in to the family and his little team from Fratton Park.
